 Áma st̓íqswa

Welcome to our community school built on culture, language, and lifelong learning.

Building a Brighter Future, Rooted in Tradition

About Our School

Sk’il’ Mountain Community School is an independent school in Shalalth, BC, which opened in October 2000 at 100 Sk’il’ Mountain Road. Our school began as a partnership with Seton Lake Indian Band (Tsal’alh) and School District No. 74.

In September 2021, the school transitioned into an Independent School operated under the guidance of Tsal’alh Administration, the First Nations Schools Association, and the First Nations Education Steering Committee.

We believe in creating a healthy and supportive environment where students can succeed, build confidence, and remain deeply connected to the richness of their culture and traditions.
